What’s the most daring or adventurous thing you’ve ever done? I once climbed a mountain in Israel when I was 18, in the dark with 4 inch wedge heels on (it was the 90's). It's not the MOST daring but there's some things you just can't share!
What’s your favourite product from our range and why? I have to say the synthetic tracks. I love how versatile they are and how they align so well with the growing trends such as HIIT, functional movement and Hyrox.
What is your role at the company, and what does a typical day look like for you? I am the marketing manager although my role has slightly shifted towards more of an SEO content creator over the last year or so. I start at 6.30, get my child off to school, take my dog to the dog park where we meet other disgruntled dog walkers and have a grumble about life for about 45 minutes. I then work through my list of tasks which are mainly editing, optimizing and recreating website content. At midday I go to my HIIT class for 30 mins. Because I work from home, I think it's important to see other people during the day so you're not scrabbling about your own head. I then finish around the early afternoon and take the dog another walk, usually somewhere nice, unless I bribe my daughter to do it when she gets back from school.
What’s something about you that most people don’t know (a fun fact)? I am a synesthete. Didn't know it was a thing but it's interesting to know that a lot of people don't have an 'internal eye. I just assumed everyone, on some level had the same experiences with visualizing/feeling time, letters, numbers, names. My partner just looks blankly at me when I describe it.
If you could master any new skill instantly, what would it be and why? Being able to fully grasp SEO analytics! Fortunately I only need to know the fundamentals to carry out my work but the graphs and numbers provide so much data - it's a whole different playing field!
What's one tool or resource you couldn't work without? I have a mild obsession with Diet Irn Bru and Pepsi Max. I drink far too many cans during the day and like to have a good supply when I'm working. Even if the day is grim outside I'll absolutely have to make the trip to the shops to get some if I've run out!
